Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland is a model and actress. She made her feature film debut as an actress and Bond actress in A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she appeared in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. She played Nazi sympathetic archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Siobhan was in A Prayer for the Dying, Charlotte in Taffin and Rebecca Flannery Major League II. Doody began modeling after she was approached. The outcome proved to be a profitable career. Doody was determined to steer clear of glamorous and sexy roles, which was a principle she followed in her acting. In 1985, after receiving notice from the casting directors of a James Bond new film, Doody acted in a tiny part in Jenny Flex as in A View to a Kill. Doody was named as one of the 12 most promising new Actors of 1986 by John Willis Screen World, Volume. 38. Doody had just turned age 18 at the time she was cast in the character of Bond girl. She is still the youngest Bond girl to date. Another film from her early days was a small part as IRA Siobhan Doovan, a member of the IRA in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) that starred Mickey Rourke. Doody played an unseen role as Archibald Craven's spouse Lilias during his dream, 1987's adaptation to The Secret Garden. In a Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, Doody portrayed Sapsorrow alongside John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She played opposite Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) before she took perhaps her most well-known role in her career in the role of Austrian Nazi-sympathiser as well as archaeologist the Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in which she starred alongside Harrison Ford. The film also starred Sean Connery as Indy's father Doody is a co-star with three actors that have played James Bond. Doody costarred with Jonathan Pryce, in the British miniseries Selling Hitler. The series was an inspiration for The Hitler Diaries publishing scam. After moving to Hollywood Doody made her a star. She replaced Cybill Shepherd in the L'Oreal spokesperson role. She then played Flannery Sheen's girlfriend and his agent opposite Charlie Sheen, as Major League II was released in 1994. Doody played a role in The 2002 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine portrayed her at a ceremony for an award. The year 2004, she starred alongside Patrick Swayze alongside a TV adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. Also Doody was in Benjamin's Struggle (2005), an essay on the Holocaust. Doody appeared as a character in Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. She guested in RTE's the medical thriller The Clinic. The project was eventually canceled. The actress began her two seasons of The E4 comedy Beaver Falls in 2011 as Pam Jefferson. In 2014, she was a part of We Still Kill the Old Way.
